New Resort Hotels Open In Hawaii To Address Growing Demand

Years ago, travel was a luxury that only the wealthy can afford. Nowadays, a large portion of the world’s population can enjoy holidays in resorts in Cha Am, a popular beach getaway for locals and students in Thailand. Another popular option for holidaymakers is Hawaii that has the successful ingredients to expect a record-breaking year.

To address the need for more accommodations, there has been an influx of new hotels in Hawaii from The Ritz-Carlton Residences in Waikiki Beach to the Four Seasons Resort Oahu at KoOlina. According to Jack E. Richards, president and CEO of Pleasant Holidays, the hotels are upscale and the average daily rates are going up.

The Ritz-Carlton is the latest addition to Waikiki hotels that offers resort-style experiences combined with an ocean view from every residence. On the other hand, The Four Seasons has 358 guest rooms with 5 restaurants and lounges and 4 pools if you do not want to swim in the white sand beaches. For those who prefer to de-stress and become physically fit, there is a multi-level spa and wellness centre including tennis facilities and equipment for water sports.

According to the numbers that were released by Hawaii Tourism Authority, visitor spending has increased due to the growing number of arrivals. There is also an increase in the number of direct flights from the United States and Japan making it convenient for holidaymakers to travel to Hawaii.

Elizabeth Moriarty, vice president for product development for Delta Vacations, said average daily rates are up because there is a lot of demand and so many inventories. The recent flight alternatives out of the West Coast have created interest from travellers that had no previous interest to travel to Hawaii via Honolulu. Of the four popular Hawaiian Islands, Maui, Hawaii Island, Kauai and Oahu, Maui continues to dominate the bookings; everything else is secondary.

However, if your dream is to enjoy a healthy dose of sea, sun and sand, your best option is resorts in Cha Am. The resort is 2.5 hours drive from the capital city of Bangkok making it a favourable getaway for families, friends and students including foreign holidaymakers.
