Should You Go For A King Sized Bed? Find Out Here

Basically, there are only three things that a person needs to do to survive: eat, drink and rest. Resting is important because people need to recover the energy that they had spent throughout their entire day. Resting allows them to do this. When you rest, your body will be able to prepare for another day’s work.

There is no rest like sleep. In fact, according to studies, a person may be able to function better and stay in better shape when he gets at least 7-8 hours of sleep. Unfortunately, this may only be a luxury to some. One of the biggest factors that affect sleep is the space in which a person sleeps in. In most cases, this would have to be the bed.

In order for a person to get a comfortable sleep, he would have to first invest on a comfortable bed, linens and finding a quiet space to sleep. Finding a bed is one thing, but finding the right best is a whole other matter.

There are many different types of beds that people can choose from such as twin beds and queen beds. But if you plan on getting a king single bed, here are some things you should know.

King sized beds have basically only two sizes. But even so, these two bed sizes are considered to be the biggest in the world.

Standard King:

The first type of King sized bed is the Standard King or the Eastern King. This type of bed is 16” wider than a Queen while they are the same length. This type comes with a single mattress and two box springs making it easier to move around. One of the pros of this bed is that since it is the widest bed available in the market, it will be able to provide maximum comfort to two people sharing the bed. However, it may not be all that suitable for a single person, which would still depend on the person’s preference.

California King:

California King Bed is more than just Rihanna’s hit song. Also called the Western King, it is 12” wider than a Queen and 4” longer. While the Standard King is the widest, this bed is the longest one available. It presents the same pros and cons such as the Standard King.
